Gnome-Rhône AX2

Rarely seen at Militracks, but this year we're delighted to add one to the program again: an AX2! The Gnome-Rhône AX2 was a French military motorcycle featuring an 800cc boxer engine and a driven sidecar. During the German occupation of France in World War II, this motorcycle was continued in production under German control and used by the Wehrmacht. The AX2 proved to be rugged and well-suited for harsh conditions, making it popular among German troops. Its production under occupation gave it a unique place in wartime history.

On April 5 & 6, the bicycle bridge will be closed, but the museum remains open.
