This autumn holiday, come to the largest war museum in the Netherlands and see the history of World War II at a bird's eye view. Especially for all holidaymakers, there is much more to see and experience at the museum.
Autumn holiday specials
- Free guided tour - Daily at 1pm. Hear the stories behind the most extraordinary objects and vehicles in the collection.
- Live Storytelling - At the MK V Churchill tank, history comes alive: four times a day, our volunteers tell the story of its crew.
- Tank opening - The Centurion tank is open: take a look inside a real tank!
- Museum Cinema - A vlog about the Battle of Overloon runs continuously in the museum's auditorium.
- Weapons Days - On Fridays, from 12 to 3pm, our firearms team will be on hand to tell and show you all about weapons used during World War II. The weapons are deactivated and can only be held once under supervision.

- Military collection - Walk past the collection of more than 150 military vehicles, including the huge BARC, 28 metres long and 7 metres high, and the Horsa glider.
- Lancaster pavilion - 2,000 large and small wreckage pieces show the outline of a crashed British bomber.
- Interactive expo - Using eight eyewitness stories, you will be taken through the interactive exhibition "The Netherlands during World War II". What would you do? Participate or resist?
- Temporary expo - #WITH_LOVE_TO_UKRAINE, travelling exhibition commemorating the many war victims in Ukraine.
- "Silent Witness" - An impressive multimedia performance that will make you think.
- Bicycle bridge - By bike? Upon arrival, cast a glance at the museum from the bicycle bridge, which runs right through the museum.

War Museum Overloon is a Kidsproof museum! We get an 8.5 from the Kidsproof museum inspectors. For children, there is always plenty to see and do at the museum, such as a treasure hunt with a little surprise (available at reception), romping around in the woods and playground, and enjoying hot chocolate, sandwiches and chips in the museum café.
