Military Vehicle collection

Pak 97/38

The museum holds several German anti‑tank guns, including the well‑known Pak 38 and Pak 40, with calibres of 5 cm and 7.5 cm respectively. We also have a unique variant: the 7.5 cm Pak 97/38. This gun combined a French barrel (from the Schneider 1897 field gun) with a German carriage (from the Pak 38). Although it was effective against older tanks, it could not match the armour of newer Allied vehicles. Nevertheless, it remained in service until the end of the war.
