Living Displays
Be transported through living displays and meet re-enactors who bring real-life stories to life on various days.
Experienced D-DEX? Afterwards, ask the Combat Engineers your questions and delve deeper into their remarkable stories. Meet the crew of the C-47 Skytrain or the Horsa Glider and discover how these aircraft and their crews played a crucial role in World War II.
The powerful stories of Terence Greenall and Bob Dare also come to life at the Humber Scout Car and Churchill Tank.
Open Car Park: Climb and Discover Historic Vehicles!
Starting Friday, December 27th, embark on a journey in our Open Car Park! Remember those vehicles in the woods you could climb on? This Christmas, we’re bringing that experience back to life with seven vehicles.
Take a seat in the Weasel, YP, Nekaf, or the M4 High-Speed Tractor, affectionately nicknamed "KingKong." Or climb aboard three tanks: the Centurion, T34, and the Sherman Cookie, the latter having a special connection to our museum after being left behind following the Battle of Overloon.
Weapons Days
The museum boasts an extensive weapons collection, and during Weapons Days, you’ll get a unique chance to learn all about it. Our firearms team will explain the weapons used during WWII. These deactivated weapons can even be handled under supervision.
NEW: D-DEX

Last Chance: Experience the Blockbuster Simulation
After years of being a highlight in our museum, we’re saying goodbye to the Blockbuster. This simulation, which allows visitors to experience the impact of a bombing – from aircraft to air-raid shelter – has left a lasting impression on many.
But after years of loyal service, the technology deserves its rest. This means the Blockbuster will be available only until the end of the Christmas holidays.
Visit the Christmas Square
Craving a warm coffee or hot chocolate during your visit? Stop by our Christmas Square, located in the museum near the Open Car Park after D-DEX. This year, you can also write a card to Dutch men and women deployed abroad during the holidays. Drop it in the Christmas mailbox, and we’ll ensure it reaches them!
